In brief: there’s a new trailer for Jordan Peele’s retooled remake of The Twilight Zone. It’s beautiful. It’s amazing. They should have sent a poet. WATCH:
The haunting imagery, the actors, the God damn theme song - this thing looks terrific. Anyone who doubts Jordan Peele‘s vision should be awfully nervous because it seems very likely that he is about to deliver in a big, big way.
Peele has obviously made some major changes to iconic stories but that’s a welcome idea to this Twilight Zone fan. We know these stories like the back of our hands so some alterations aren’t a bad idea. They would be if we weren’t so confident in Peele and his understanding and love of Rod Serling’s legendary series.
The show, which begins streaming on CBS All Access on April 1, looks bizarre and unsettling and scary and unique. In other words, it looks exactly like The Twilight Zone.
