I Guess RoboCop Works for KFC Now

I Guess RoboCop Works for KFC Now

2019 is weird, man. Two things that I’ve never thought of as a pair - RoboCop and KFC - are joining forces. That’s right, Detroit’s metal public servant is now a spokesperson for a fast food chain. If anyone tells you they saw this coming they are full of shit.

KFC debuted a slew of ads explaining Robo’s participation with the uber-popular restaurant. They're mostly pretty funny spots and I’m fairly confident they actually got Peter Weller to voice the character once again. All in all, this isn’t too bad for a commercial. It’s funny, it’s off-beat, it’ll get people talking. And, best of all for the internet, it’s weird. It’s really, really weird.

Will RoboCop’s involvement with KFC make you want some of their delicious chicken? Or will it just make you fire up your copy of the movie as you wait to see what Neill Blomkamp comes up with in his recently-announced sequel? Personally I would like to speculate as I eat greasy chicken.
