You know what? Fuck Nazis. There will never be a time when we shouldn’t despise them and there will never be a time when they shouldn’t be hunted and brought to justice.
Since we all agree with that sentiment, I’m sure we are all pretty excited about Amazon’s upcoming new series Hunters, produced by Jordan Peele and streaming in 2020. First of all, the cast for the series is wonderful (Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, Carol Kane, Kate Mulvany, Dylan Baker, Saul freakin’ Rubinek) but, secondly, it is about a team of people who track and hunt down Nazi scum in the 1970s. The new trailer above showcases just how bad ass that can be. I was already sold on Nazi hunting but Nazi hunting while The Rolling Stones plays? What could be better than that?
I really want Hunters to be good and not just because I am Jewish man who is disgusted by the rise of anti-semitism in our culture. But I want it to be good because there is often nothing as cathartic and righteous as a well-done revenge tale. These sorts of stories really speak to people, especially in times of civil unrest and uncertainty. Plus this one is produced by Jordan Peele, which just makes me even more excited for the project.
There is a lot working in favor for Hunters and I am hoping and praying that it lives up to expectations. We will know for sure when the series hits Amazon Prime in 2020.
