We'll Be Hearing More About the 'Breaking Bad' Movie ”Soon”

We have known for some time that a Breaking Bad film is in development. AMC, Netflix and the parties involved have remained tight-lipped about it but we know that it’ll star Aaron Paul and, possibly, Bryan Cranston — at least in some capacity. It’ll revolve around Jesse Pinkman’s life after the events of the show and his traumatizing kidnapping experience. You know, fun and light-hearted stuff!

As you’d expect for a film that hasn’t officially been announced, we haven’t seen or heard anything concrete about the project, just reports from various outlets. But something tells us that we will be hearing legitimate information soon. That “something” would be a picture of two cute donkeys.

Paul and Cranston both shared this photo to their respective social media accounts and it got Breaking Bad fans salivating.

Teasing an announcement via a picture of precious animals? You know the internet so well, Mr. Paul and Mr. Cranston.

Though it’s just a simple picture of two asses, the image feels very Breaking Bad to me. Something about the lighting and angle just looks like a visual that would have been in an episode of the show. Plus it’s taken out in the desert, a location Vince Gillian’s show visited on many occasions.

Paul and Cranston are obviously prepping fans for something. A poster? An official movie title? A trailer? More information is definitely on the way. And that’s a good thing because many are dying to know the specifics of the film. Breaking Bad is a truly beloved classic, one that remained stellar from the series premiere to finale. Fans are very protective of the show and a poorly-handled film could be heartbreaking. Many are also wondering why a film is even necessary? Didn’t the series say all that needed to be said? Questions and caution arise. Then again, Gilligan and the Breaking Bad crew surprised the world with the quality of Better Call Saul so it’s silly to assume they’ll somehow screw up this movie. They’ve proven themselves time and again. They won’t make asses of us now.
