Larry David Toys With A Toaster In ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Season 10 Teaser
After much speculation and rumor, Larry David and Curb Your Enthusiasm are finally coming back to HBO. It’s crazy to think that the show first premiered in 1999 and is only entering its tenth season but that’s Larry David for you. He will do things in his own time and in his own way or not at all. That man is — and has always been — stubborn and curmudgeonly and a bit ridiculous. And always totally refreshing.
The first teaser for the new season was released today and it shows David getting increasingly frustrated with a toaster. Larry David getting upset at the speed of an inanimate object feels about right to me, that’s right up his alley. Let’s be honest, we have all grown upset at a toaster before. Like the arrival of new seasons of Curb, those things seem to take forever. His attitude towards this breakfast appliances showcases the brilliance of Larry David’s comedy: he is able to express the everyday frustrations and anger we all feel but he gets to do it with no filter or regard for the feelings or opinions of others. That must feel freeing.
The tenth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm will hit HBO sometime in January which is just around the corner, a fact that will make fans of the show very excited indeed. But they might be cautiously optimistic or maybe a bit timid too. Some viewers were somewhat lukewarm about season nine, saying it lacked the same bite and quickness as previous seasons. So many are excited to see if David is back in tip-top shape comedically. One thing is for sure: he will certainly have a lot to complain about. He always does.
