Ant-Man. The Wasp. New Poster

Marvel Studios just had what some would call a fairly successful weekend with The Avengers: Infinity War so you'd think they would take a break and kick back. Instead they're already hyping up their next flick, Ant-Man and The Wasp, which is due in theaters in July.

Today brings a new poster for the film. It’s jam-packed with what must be every single character in the film, some new and some old. It has a kentic, lively energy to it which is a good idea. Ant-Man was a lighthearted and one-of-a-kind superhero film, perhaps one of the funniest in the MCU canon. But it didn’t set the box office on fire and seems to be one of their lesser-loved movies. If this poster is any indication, Ant-Man and The Wasp will lean into the fun, unique spirit that made the first film different and take it up a notch.

Maybe I’m just a sucker for bright colors and Walton Goggins (guilty as charged on both counts) but this poster has got me all sorts of excited for Ant-Man and The Wasp. Ant-Man showed a lot of promise and this poster and the first trailer suggest Marvel is really finding its footing with this series. That’s no small feat.
