Dee Wallace Wants You to Have a Gory 'Red Christmas'

Beloved horror icon and cult film fan favorite Dee Wallace has a new movie coming out. Red Christmas is a modern ozploitation gorefest from first-time feature film director Craig Anderson. Have a look at this trailer and get a feel for the kind of indie-horror comic tone Red Christmas is going for.

I'm getting a strong You're Next meets House of the Devil meets Treevenge vibe from this, with maybe a little Body Melt thrown in there too. Craig Anderson is an acclaimed Aussie television writer, director and producer know for his shows Black Comedy and Double the Fist. It's clear Red Christmas is shooting for laughs from the ensemble cast and then immediately dives into splatter territory.

I love Dee Wallace. I'll watch her in anything from The Howling to Rob Zombie's Lords of Salem. Here's she is pulling a double shift producing and acting in the film, but if that trailer is any indicator her role in the film may be short lived. Dee Wallace headlines as Diane, a matriarch presiding over the gathering of her squabbling grown children on Christmas Day.
