How Timecop Predicted the Future... Sorta.
I would like to start by making a bold statement: Timecop is the best movie about time police. Well, the best time police anything that doesn't involve call boxes and Daleks anyway. My apologies to Whovians worldwide, but the Doctor can't do full splits, therefore, fuck you, argument over.
We often pick apart science fiction too often see what they got right or terribly wrong. On the one hand, you can pat you Star Treks and Back to the Future Twoses on the back. On the other, you can laugh at the Doomsday Machine while brave astronauts choke to death on the hydrochloric acid atmosphere of Venus. However, the plebeian masses always overlook the one film that got the future right.... sorta. That movie, friends, and neighbors, is the 1994 classic, Timecop.
Oh sure, we don't have time travel, therefore no need for time police... yet. However, the movie isn't just about time travel. It's about politics and my Facebook feed tells me that politics are like totes important. Here are some undeniable facts about today that Timecop correctly predicted. For years the Mainstream Media and Hollywood have been covering this up, but now thanks to the magic of the internet, I bring you the unfiltered truth.
Jean-Claude Van Damme is a Real Person
Look, I know we live in a day where people can doubt the existence of Finland, but you cannot deny the fact that Jean-Claude Van Damme is a real person. Since the majority of Timecop takes place in they years 1994 and 2004 -- years that it can be confirmed that JCVD existed -- this is at least one claim nobody can ever deny. I saw him do splits in a Volvo commercial. You can't fake that with computers like they do when they try to hide chemtrails. You can't "inside job" those splits.
No matter if you disagree with the rest of this article, you cannot deny the fact that JCVD is a real person. So no matter what, I will maintain the moral high ground. Suck it.
The Villain of This Movie Sounds Really Familiar....
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Senator Aaron McComb, the main villain in Timecop. This monumental asshat is attempting to buy his way into the White House. What is his plan? To use an illegal time machine to go into the past and steal a fortune to pay for his campaign. He sends his goons into the past to steal Confederate gold and take advantage of the stock market crash of the 1930s. Thankfully, the Timecops have their best man on the job: Officer Walker. Walker tries to high kick all of McCombs plans since it is against the law to change history. McComb being the bad guy he is, he goes back in time to murder Walker's wife knowing that Walker won't compromise his morals to save his her. Then to cover his tracks, McComb's first order as Commander-in-Chief would be to dismantle the Timecops department.
Granted, this is an incredibly convoluted premise: Why use expensive time travel technology to steal money from the past, when it would be much easier to just gain funding illicitly in the present. Also, stealing money from the past is a dumb idea because the past is history, and you'd get caught the moment someone had to write a history exam. Also wouldn't it be easier to go into the future when humanity is extinct and take the money there?
Okay, so he is a ridiculous villain in a silly time travel movie. What can he be so familiar about him? Well it's not just his actions, but his words. Friends, here is a direct quote from Timecop:
"Country's down the drain because of the special interests."
This sounds somewhat familiar. Where have I heard this before?
Lead On McDrumph
Yeah, apparently the thing that Timecop got bang on about the future was the state of politics. Sure, they got the year wrong by 12 years, but there are other details we can dissect. The point I am trying to make is that Aaron McComb says some things that sound very much like the weird shit that has flown out of the idiot mouth of the current President of the United States.
Since the Internet is a place where derivative content is encouraged, let's see if you can tell if which of these quotes is from Aaron McCone or Donald Trump!
This is just the tip of the iceberg of similarities.
White Supremacists Have Political Clout in Timecop
At one point in Timecop, there is a news report talking about the political race. Among the political parties that are seeking funding is a group called the White Supremacist Party. That's right, a flat out racist group is running for political office. This is not all that outlandish when you consider the fact that organizations like the American Freedom Party, the Council of Conservative Citizens, and the National Alliance exist today.
Shutting Down Law Enforcement To Cover Up Shady Business.
The major plot point to Timecop is Aaron McComb is trying to cover up the fact that he is using time travel to fund his political campaign. In order to shut down the time police, he uses his political power to shut down the organization. Sounds sort of familiar doesn't it?
We're living in a world where there is a potential political scandal going on wherein people in the highest levels of government are suspected of colluding with Russia. On top of that, there are also accusations that there was Russian interference in the election. Granted, there is a world of difference between stealing Confederate gold via time travel and having a foreign government influence an election, but if you squint a little you can draw some parallels. The jury is still out on what really happened, but regardless of what you think there is something fishy going on.
Then there are 62 agencies that are having their funding pulled, 17 of those are federal agencies. Hidden in there are programs that involved electricity, technology, as well as arts and television. One could say that the current administration is trying to prevent time travel from becoming a thing by making it hard to have an imagination and money to build the technology, let alone power it. When you consider that the Russians are good friends with the Chinese that's where things get really interesting. The Chinese government has banned all time travel movies. Who is the biggest financer of Hollywood movies these days? China. So what exactly is happening here? I'm glad you asked!
The Grand Timecop Conspiracy
I don't profess to know much of anything. I'm just an idiot with a keyboard. While that is a qualifier that allows me to write things on the internet, that doesn't give me all the answers. But what I can be certain of is that Timecop not only vaguely predicted the future, but it did so on purpose. I have spent the past week going through Timecop frame by frame in an effort to uncover the truth, and that's when I discovered this:
Is JCVD wearing a modern Smartwatch in this publicity photo from 1994? I say yes! The only logical explanation is that someone involved in Timecop was actually from the future. I know it sounds absurd, but if you follow the breadcrumbs it starts making sense.
You have to start looking at the cast and crew involved in this film.
We have established JCVD as a real live human being. However, if you follow his career trajectory that's when things start looking weird.
- FACT: Jean-Claude Van Damme was an extra in the 1982 hit film Breakin'
- FACT: He played a Secret Service agent protecting Franklin Roosevelt in a made for TV movie in 1988
- FACT: JCVD then had his breakout role in Bloodsport that jumpstarted his career that same year.
- FACT: In 2010, Entertainment Weekly published an article where movie critic Chris Nashawaty said "Calling this Jean-Claude Van Damme's best film is the definition of a backhanded compliment. So let me add that it's also one of the best action flicks of the '90s. As a time-traveling lawman, he does what you expect (bust skulls) and one thing you don't (prove he can act)"
Director... Of the Future?
Timecop was directed by Peter Hyams. If his IMDB profile is to be believed he was born in 1943 in New York City. Reviewing the earliest available census data (1940) we can find record of his parents Barry and Ruth Hyams. This is where things don't add up. Your honor, I'd like to present this evidence to the court of public opinion, if you please:
Estimated birth date. Seriously? Who doesn't know their date of birth? Simple, a time traveler who thinks nobody will be able to check his background. New York City was a major hub of immigration back in those days, so it would be easy for a time traveler to infiltrate 20th-century American society. I e-mailed Hyams' agent asking him to provide a birth certificate to verify his client, or his client's "father" were not, in fact, the same man as well as a time traveler. I have not received a response! What are they trying to hide?
What makes this all the more credible is the fact that Peter Hyams has worked with JCVD on four different film projects. Why would he do this, if not to try and prevent the future that we are currently living in.
Is Ron Silver Really Dead?
The villain of this film was portrayed by famed actor Ron Silver. Apparently died in 2009 of cancer. Well, we all know that cancer is actually a black bag false flag operation promoted by big pharma. Also, I believe that Ron Silver was ALSO a time traveler. His IMDB profile states he was born in 1946. What is it with these time travelers picking the 40s? Do they think I'm dumb?
But the smoking gun in all of this is when you look at Ron's tombstone:
I rest my case.
The Purpose of this Conspiracy
Why all this secrecy surrounding their time travel secrets is simple: Timecops are real and they were trying to prevent the political climate we are working in. As a last ditch effort, they created the movie Timecop and peppered it with vague hints about the future that was yet to come in the hopes that someone can decipher the truth and prevent the dissolution of the time police.
That's the only rational explanation.
The Cover Up
For years, those who seek to obfuscate the truth have been doing everything to prevent the truth from coming out. Think back to all the negative reviews of Timecop when it first came out. Most people took those as gospel and therefore, Timecop did not become the mega-hit I should have been. Thing got even bleaker when the sequel, cleverly titled Timecop 2, became a direct to video release.
This is where the communists get involved. To further condition the general public to question the legitimacy of time travel movies, officials in the Chinese government knew that people would have high expectations when the year 2015 came to be. That's why they commissioned Universal Pictures to produce this piece of propaganda:
They knew that we the people knew these were more than just movies and that we were expecting 2015 to be all hover boards and flying cars. Suddenly, a rational explanation was made, using Back to the Future no less, which as we have already established was BANNED by China . If people doubted hoverboards, then they would doubt that Simpsons episode that predicted Donald Trump becoming president. Then BOOM, they villains win and Timecop failed.
It's time to wake up people.
